Where does this project come from?
In full health contingency, and with face-to-face academic and cultural activities suspended in higher education institutions around the world, the University Headquarters in Boston launched the digital project "Tertulias en UNAM-Boston", now called "Conversatorios".
With the task of continuing to contribute to the substantive functions of the Universidad de la Nación, this project demonstrates that the UNAM, and in this case in particular its Branches abroad, do not stop and prepare to adapt to the new normality of the educational systems that will come and that will definitely have online teaching as one of its main pillars in a globalized world.

This new initiative consists of managing conversations on different cultural and current issues with experts affiliated with UNAM, universities in the Northeast of the United States, and institutions located in various geographies of the planet. These talks are carried out taking advantage of information technologies, they are edited and published on the platforms of the National University. It is important to highlight that all these recordings are subtitled either from Spanish to English or from English to Spanish, which represents an unprecedented effort by the University to thus generate quality bilingual content that can benefit both the Spanish-speaking community, not only from UNAM or Mexico but also from Latin America and migrants mainly based in the American Union, as well as the English-speaking population of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and other geographies.
