With the objective of go further with student´s internationalization and contribute with UNAM´s index graduate students, UNAM- BOSTON, LAW and Psychology Faculties gathered efforts to manage an internship abroad of two interns from Law School: Brenda Joseline Valdez Rojas and Larry Rodrigo Murillo Cárdenas, and another intern from Pshychology School: Ilse Arelí Aguilar Hernández, taking advantage of the program “Apoyo a la Titulación de Egresados de la UNAM a través de Prácticas Profesionales en las Sedes de la UNAM en el Extranjero de la Dirección General de Cooperación e Internacionalización (DGECI)”. This program tends to involve graduate students in labor life, moreover, drive them to their professional development, get them closer to a multicultural environment, as well as get involved with international´s duties of their “Alma matter” by including them in culture-academic activities that UNAM-Boston organize.
These experiences are unique in those life´s students that allow them to expand their vision after university's life. Below are the testimonies of the current generation of UNAM-Boston Interns:

Ilse Arelí Aguilar Hernández. First graduate student of Psychology Faculty doing her internship as an option to get her Bachelor´s Degree at UNAM-Boston.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity that UNAM- Boston gives me to open me a path to knowing more countries besides Mexico. The places that I am knowing, people, and in general my experience living in Boston is giving me a bigger world´s perspective as I used to think about the world. Being here had allowed me to meet international researchers, get involved in cultural activities, meet people from all over the world, and above all to expand my interest and personal barriers. It is an enriching experience. I´m grateful to be part of a team such a pleasant, to developing professionally as well as enjoy of the experience to know other countries while practicing another language.”

Law Faculty, Brenda Joseline Valdez Rojas, shares her experience:
“After had concluded my major at Law Faculty in such an abrupt way and suffered for the pandemic in my family, I am truly grateful for the incredible opportunity that UNAM gives me opening its doors of its Center in Boston; I never imagine after 5 years of a career, today I would be doing my internship abroad as a way to get graduated in a World’s Capital of the best universities, being part of an amazing and multidisciplinary project as is the Center of Mexican Students in Boston, where I have been given the possibility of meet researchers, officials of the Mexican Consulate, as well as the opportunity of taking courses in recognized universities as is Harvard, England Law School, Boston University, etc. I am very pleased of working in closer ties among UNAM and New England´s universities as well as lead our Mexican culture to new horizons and collaborate with the expansion of knowledge of digital media. It is no brainer that being here represents a huge commitment with my “Alma matter”, the Law Faculty and with my country, therefore, I wish that my experience could help to give back UNAM everything that it has given me since the moment that gave me the possibility of being part of its".
Last one, Larry Murillo Cárdenas, who was a volunteer of the Center working virtually on different projects, completed a study abroad to live his experience of immersion in Boston.
“Being an intern in UNAM-Boston had let me assist many events and classes that have been handled by important universities located in the region. Also, I have been able to meet professors who have guided me on the academic offer, application processes, and scholarship options. As a result of my stay in Boston, I have been able to reaffirm my intentions to pursue postgraduate studies at one of these universities. Thanks to UNAM-Boston I have had the opportunity to take an extraordinary non-degree course of Asian studies from PUEAA; therefore, to take great courses at Boston College, Münster University, and Harvard, also classes from New England Law, besides visit Boston University.
Living in a city like Boston, it's letting me create a treasure networking red. I have could make new friends from all over the world. Likewise, work with UNAM-Boston had allowed me to complete one of my objectives in life which is to work and contribute to the access for more students to learn more languages, in this case, English, through the organization of events and courses such as Winter Puma. I am truly grateful to our university to give me this great opportunity, there is a no-brainer this will impact positively my life.”
