Commemorative Flag Raising at City Hall Plaza

The Consulate General of Mexico in Boston organized and received numerous attendees to take place in the memorable center of City Hall Plaza to carry out the flag raising last Thursday, September 15, near the Government Center area, the downtown area of Boston.

While our national symbols were the protagonists of the commemoration, the beautiful Mexican tricolor flag, next to the American flag, accompanied by the National Anthem of both nations intoned by the singer and owner of the cultural venue Verónica Robles, along mariachi and young Mexican dancers who entertained the great event.

After the intonation of the National Anthems, the Consul General of Mexico in Boston, carried out the flag raising while those present greeted their national symbol with great pride while the tricolor flag was raised high next to the American flag.

The commemorative raising of the flag ended with a Mexican food tasting, where all attendees could enjoy delicious guacamole with tortilla chips, stew tacos and rice accompanied by a delicious classic Mexican sauce and refreshing drinks.

It was a place to share and celebrate the pride of our Mexican roots, identifying as an independent and sovereign nation, which has a presence and relevance in the United States, and takes the pride of its origins to other parts of the world.
