Hector holds a Bachelor's degree in Administration from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a Master's degree in Chinese Studies - International Relations - from the Yenching Academy of Peking University. He has studied in 6 countries and has participated in academic conferences in Mexico, China and the United States. From 2016 to 2017 he was part of the team at UNAM's headquarters in China (Center for Mexican Studies) and later collaborated with UNAM's University Program for Asian and African Studies as Head of Continuing Education. He is currently Head of the Management Department at UNAM's headquarters in Boston (Center for Mexican Studies).
