UNAM's Boston Selection Exam for Online Careers in Boston 
Study your career at UNAM without leaving the United States!

This call invites U.S. residents to pre-register for the UNAM selection exam to take an online bachelor's degree through the Open University and Distance Education System.

By pre-registering, if they meet the necessary requirements, they will be able to register for the exam at a later date and take it at UNAM headquarters in Boston, without having to travel to Mexico to take it.

Pre-registration and enrollment procedure

1. Make a pre-registration, depending on your place of residence in the United States, we recommend that you pre-register at the nearest UNAM offices abroad: San Antonio, TX, Los Angeles, CA, Tucson, AZ, Chicago, IL, Boston, MA., it will be necessary to send your proof of address when requested.

2. Read in full the call and the instructions for the November 2024 Undergraduate selection process.


3. Register online by entering the page www.dgae.unam.mx, in the period established in the call and the instructions for the November 2024 Undergraduate selection process.


4. Make the payment to present the exam, in the period established in the call and the instructions of the November 2024 Undergraduate selection process.


5. Take the selection test at the place, day, and time indicated on the credential ballot.


6. Be accepted through the Selection Process, which will consist of a written test that must be carried out in person within the period indicated for this purpose in the credential ballot. By obtaining a greater number of correct responses out of a total of 120 reagents, the greater the probability of being selected on the registered campus run.

If I am selected, what documents
must I submit?

ALL selected candidates must submit the following:


1. Original credential ballot (Boleta-Credencial) used to take the admission exam for the November 2024 Selection Contest.
2. Original high school diploma with a minimum average of 7.0 (SEVEN POINT ZERO).
3. Original birth certificate.
4. Printout of the Clave Única de Registro de Población (CURP) -only for Mexican national applicants-, which you must obtain from the website https://www.gob.mx/curp/

If your high school studies were NOT done in Mexico and you do not have Mexican nationality, you must also submit:
 

• The completed studies certificate or its equivalent of high school level and diploma or degree were issued in countries that are part of the Hague Convention, you must submit the apostille of the competent authority of the country of origin if they were issued in countries that are not part of the Hague Convention, they must have the legalization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the corresponding country, as well as the Mexican Consulate accredited in the country of origin. If they are issued in a language other than Spanish, they must be translated into Spanish by an authorized Official Expert in Mexico.
 

• Format F-69 in original (equivalence of academic average) with a minimum average of 7.0 (SEVEN POINT ZERO), issued by Dirección General de Incorporación y Revalidación de Estudios (DGIRE) of UNAM, see the requirements and the procedure at: https://www.dgire.unam.mx/webdgire/revalidacion-de-estudios-de-bachillerato-completo-para-ingreso-a-nivel-licenciatura-en-la-unam/
 

• High School Revalidation Report or its equivalent issued by DGIRE or, if applicable, a certified copy by DGIRE of the report issued by the Secretaría de Educación Pública (Ministry of Public Education).
 

• If the birth certificate was issued in countries that are part of the Hague Convention, it must have the apostille of the competent authority of the country of origin, if it was issued in countries that are not part of the Hague Convention, it must have the legalization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the corresponding country, as well as the Mexican Consulate accredited in the country of origin. Keep in mind that all these procedures: F-69, the High School Revalidation Report, Apostille or Legalization, and the Translation into Spanish by an Official Expert, take several days, so we suggest you start them soon after paying your exam fee.

How much does it cost to study for a distance degree at UNAM? What is the semi-annual or annual cost?

The online bachelor’s degrees offered by the university have the same cost as any other bachelor’s degree of any system or modality.
UNAM is a public university, the fee for foreign students is $5.00 Mexican pesos and for Mexicans, it is a voluntary contribution. However, if the payment or contribution is made by bank transfer, the minimum fee that can be contributed is $100.00 Mexican pesos.

Notice:

1. The exam application date will be announced at the time of downloading the Credential Ballot.

 

2. You are requested to pre-register at only one UNAM office abroad to avoid confusion in the process.
