Proyecto Tlajinga

The Tlajinga Teotihuacan Archaeological Project (PATT) focuses on issues from the Tlajinga district, located on the southern periphery of the city. The project has been based in the laboratory for the past four years and is led by David Carballo (Boston University), Luis Barba (National Autonomous University of Mexico) and Kenneth Hirth (Penn State). According to Carballo, Teotihuacan was not just an economic center, it was a political, cultural and religious center. He had ball games and great temples and gambling. The same things that attracted immigrants to Teotihuacan are the things that attract immigrants to today's cities: better entertainment, bigger ideas, diverse people, different food and, of course, an opportunity for a better life. We invite you to watch the video in collaboration with UNAM-Boston about your Tlajinga project.
